An intermediate step before trying pseudo-random data is to have the ADF-2 send its fixed "pallet pattern". This is still a fixed data pattern, i.e. the same data in every ADF to TAB Frame, but instead of just being alternating 1's and 0's it has a different fixed value of Et Energy for each of the 16 Trigger Towers. These fixed Et values were picked so that they are an identifier of which TT that value belongs to. For example the TT that is relative eta,phi 3,2 has a fixed Et value of 0x32. The point of this test is that it does not require fancy synchronization but still lets us verify that all the data from the 16 TT's handled by an ADF-2 card is transmitted correctly and lands in the right spots in the TAB.
